That wasn't meant as a tirade, Steve, but as possible observations.

There's nothing wrong with pushing the envelope, but there are many directions it can be pushed (like Toybiz's Marvel legends, and Neca's new 18 figure line.)

VERY glad the news hasn't effected the toy company or you though...

FUCK YOU TONY TWIST YOU PIECE OF DOG SHIT! Hopefully you'll take a spill on your motorcycle and either bite it or have 15 million dollars in hospital bills! cock-bite!

Todd has provided us with an awesome hobby, tons of fun for many years and to not want him to push the envelope is just about one stupid idea. thats whats made the figures great and what got me into the hobby! I cant imagine going back to say Spawn 1 kind of figures now. and I like articulation as much as a lot of people, but not so much that I have to have a ton of it on every figure. that debate is old and worn out.

I only hope this doesnt screw up anything for us collectors.

ROT IN HELL TWISTER!

If I want articulation, I buy other company's stuff, I buy McFarlane stuff for what I like that TMP has made, and I like ALOT of it, when it comes to TMP toys, I dont even worry about articulation and stupid shit like that, if it has it, great, if it doesn't, sweet, it's a sweet-ass flawless sculpt, fuck articulation

NECA has some good licenses, but... they dont have Spawn, or realistic music figures I want

Maybe Im a biased whore, and why I just went on that short-winded dumbass rant, who knows!

I think Im trying to get at something about supporting McF. and Co. or something, Im a total optimist for it all, sure, other companies can make some damn good stuff and I'll even buy soem of it, but, then, McFarlane outweighs it in the things they've done and that I've liked, and it sort of "evens out" It's too damn bad little whiners bitch about TMP not making figures they wanted, or someone else doing them, or not doing them how they want, the list can go on, and it just infuriates alot of people, unfortunately, the whiners outweigh the pissed off people

wow, I feel stupid, yet accomplished, sorry you had to read that all

...guess this means no Tony Twist figure?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...hmmm, with all that info and quotes? Well, maybe you should lay off the caffeine then, 'cause it sure sounded like it had an edge to it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...neither of those is pushing anything! Need I remind you we once did 18" figures and the profit margin is not worth the effort.

VERY glad the news hasn't effected the toy company or you though...
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...thank you.

Um, I don't recall a McFarlane figure have 60+ points of articulation.. and I don;t recal a 18" spawn figure with 60 points of articulation either.

At least give props where they belong.

You guys do some killer stuff, but more often then not of late, it's just another sports figure that looks the same as the rest, or something thats crippled, and bloody.

That explains why Neca has been able to buy so many licenses that were were told were "unobtainable".. they were "unobtainable" because there just wasn't the dough there to buy the rights.

I don't know if they'll survive this bad news, but maybe going back to the older core ideas would be better then producing things to just "push the envelope"?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...gee, Gary. I always thought you were smarter than this?

Maybe removing articulation from the majority of figures
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...it's our style, Gary. If you want massive amounts of articulation that take away from the aesthetics of a figure, go buy a Gumby figure and customize that.

relocating offices
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...actually, we closed and combined one. One that was doing nothing but losing money for the company.

loosing many of the company's core personelle
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...whatever, or should I say, whoever gave you that idea? The company continues to grow and the figures are only getting better and sales prove it.

going after high priced sport rights
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...this just proves you don't know from squat. I suppose you think we'd be much better off spending 3 or 4 hundred thousand dollars on a license like Pinhead.

and expanding with the "Ho Hum" Nascar series weren't such good ideas after all?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...sorry to say, but NASCAR was 2nd in sales to only football last year. With only one series being sold when compared to three for football.

...you may not like NASCAR Gary, but like it or not, it's here to stay!

That explains why Neca has been able to buy so many licenses that were were told were "unobtainable".. they were "unobtainable" because there just wasn't the dough there to buy the rights.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...again, don't know where you're getting your info from, but this statement is incorrect.

...the money's been there, the investment just hasn't been worth it. Just because you want something, doesn't mean we should overspend for a license that will yield little in return.

I don't know if they'll survive this bad news, but maybe going back to the older core ideas would be better then producing things to just "push the envelope"?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...once again, you know not of what you speak. This news has nothing what-so-ever to do with McFarlane Toys. It has only to do with Todd McFarlane Productions, the comics.

...back to the older core ideas? Not likely, Gary. Pushing the envelope is what made McFarlane Toys what it is today, along with every other toy company them emulates what we do.

...next time, you might want to get your info straight before going into such a tirade.
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Whoah...

And it contained a lot of helpful information.

G,
...well, just because it's not you, doesn't mean it's not good. We've had our best year ever and that tells me we're doing something right.
